Alex has a knack for getting the most out of every player, regardless of age or skill level, while encouraging them to have fun at the same time.

Alex looks at competition through a different lens than most of society. Competition is about challenging oneself to be better, to do better than you did the previous day. Competition is recognizing that you need the person on the other side of the net and that you owe it to them to give your best and to challenge them as well. Competition is embracing the challenge set before you and meeting it head on regardless of the circumstances. Can I be unstoppable? Come out to the court with me and let’s find out.

Alex began playing tennis competitively after finishing up the last of his seven baseball seasons in 9th grade. Having a strong athletic base, developed by playing several sports growing up, allowed him to quickly progress through the junior ranks and then earn a scholarship to play Division I tennis at Jackson State University. He would go on to earn All Conference honors to close out his college career.

During the past 20 years he has worked at various clubs in New Jersey and the Southern United States, working with players of all ages. His most recent work and perhaps most rewarding was from 2012-2020 in Princeton, NJ. There he took young players through the ROGY (Red, Orange, Green, Yellow) progression and developed them into high school and college players, including a player who earned All American honors his first two years in college.
